Helping Children and Families Thrive
Thriving Kids London/St. Thomas Pediatrics provides private-pay pediatric therapy services for children and youth from birth to 18 years of age with physical, sensory, speech and language and communication, behavioural, mental health, emotional, developmental, and learning needs. Services are available in-clinic (London and St. Thomas clinic offerings), in-home, in-school or daycare, in the community, and virtually across Ontario giving families flexibility to access the right service, in the right place, at the right time. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop place for high quality, evidence-based, and family-centred pediatric therapies where children and youth can receive coordinated Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Language Pathology (SLP), and mental health services all in one place.
We recognize that families may face long wait times for publicly funded services. Our goal is to provide another option through individualized, accessible, and child-centred care.
Our flexible approach allows families to choose the assessments and therapy services that best meet their child’s unique needs, while our in-home and community-based services allow therapists to see children in their natural environments.
Founded by Registered Occupational Therapist Heather Harris, Thriving Kids was created from her passion for helping children and families thrive. Heather has 17 years of Occupational Therapy experience across in clinic, in hospital, in community, school, home, and rehabilitation settings. She specializes in supporting children and youth with sensory processing differences, Autism, ADHD, fine and gross motor and learning challenges, developmental differences, behavioural and emotional needs, and everyday life skills.
Heather takes a holistic, strengths-based approach that focuses on the whole child—their abilities, interests, strengths, and goals. Therapy is individualized and often incorporates play, hands-on activities, and child- or youth-led approaches to build independence, participation, and quality of life.
Our goal is simple: To help children thrive, empower families, and make pediatric services more accessible in the London, St. Thomas, and Southwest Ontario communities.
